Privacy policy

This policy covers the SeeSpeech iPhone and iPad app, this website, and support provided by LiteStep.

App data

SeeSpeech does not require an account and does not include advertising, tracking or app analytics. We do not collect your messages, saved phrases or conversation history. The app stores these locally on your device and does not provide app-managed cloud sync. Device backups are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s services.

Microphone and captions

The microphone is used only when you choose live captions. Audio is processed using Apple’s on-device speech recognition when supported; SeeSpeech never falls back to cloud recognition and never records or saves microphone audio. Live caption text is temporary by default. Only finalized caption text is saved, and only when you enable Save finalized captions for that conversation.

Text-to-speech and preferences

Optional speech playback uses Apple’s system speech services. Display, speech and accessibility preferences are stored locally.

Exports and deletion

You choose whether to export content using the iOS share sheet. The recipient or service you select handles exported data under its own practices. You can delete conversations and phrases in the app. Deletion does not remove exported copies or copies retained in device backups.

Website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, cookies or contact forms. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the website under its own privacy practices.

Support email

If you email support@litestep.com, your email address and the information you send are processed by our email provider and used to respond to your request. Avoid including sensitive conversation content. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
